Red Cross Receives Funding For AmeriCorps Members Across The State of North Dakota

The Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross has received grant funding from the State of North Dakota to place AmeriCorps Members in offices throughout the State to provide assistance with program activities tied to the three core processes of the Disaster Cycle: Preparedness, Response and Recovery.

Members will help give preparedness presentations in the community, provide disaster response with our DAT Teams, and help train and recruit volunteers.

Positions are currently open in Bismarck, Grand Forks and Minot. Work schedule is 10 hours a week, flexible around community events and DAT response. A living allowance is available, and upon successful completion of the AmeriCorps station, an educational award is provided at the end of the program. The positions are open to all individuals 17 and older. Program date will run from November 1, 2013 to May 30, 2014.
