Red Cross Wishes 2nd SFS Group Well At Send-Off Ceremony

Members of the 2nd SFS Group that will be deployed to Afghanistan.

Representatives of the American Red Cross Minn-Kota Region had the pleasure of attending a ‘Send-Off Ceremony’ for the 2nd SFS Group at the 119th Air National Guard Base in Fargo, North Dakota. The group is leaving for a six-month deployment in Afghanistan for security purposes.

Governor Jack Dalrymple, Major General David Sprynczynatyk, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony. For many, this is their first deployment overseas.

“We thank you for what you have done and what you are going to do in service to our country,” Dalrymple said. “We also recognize how difficult this is for you and your family members.”
